Thema Production is a vertically integrated feature company that was founded in 2003 by producers Jimmy de Brabant and Michael Dounaev.
To date Thema has co-produced and co-financed 12 feature films to date, among them Woody Allen’s project MATCH POINT, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Rhys-Myers and Emily Mortimer, which received 4 Golden Globe and 1 Oscar nomination. Thema’s most recent co-productions are the Orson Welles story, FADE TO BLACK, starring Danny Huston and Christopher Walken DELIRIOUS, starring Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt and Alison Lohman, RESCUE DAWN, directed by Werner Herzog and starring Christian Bale and GOODBYE BAFANA, the story of Nelson Mandela’s incarceration on Robben Island, directed by Bille August, starring Joe Fiennes, Diane Kruger and Dennis Haysbert.
Thema Production is also pioneering a film presence in the heart of St. Petersburg with a state-of-the-art studio facility.
